How are you doing guys? I just wanna share some awesome ways how to make money while you’re traveling. There are so many ways to do it, probably a hundred ways, but I’m just gonna share what I personally like. This can be very effective especially if you keep an open mind. 🙂
1. Create some gigs on Fiverrr.com
Location-independent entrepreneurs usually hire some guys from that website. It could be anything from data entry, article writing to logo creation. Think of any talent or skill you can do for $5. Well, $1 goes to Fiverrr for site maintenance so technically you will earn only $4.
I know that sounds a little but what if you get 10 orders in 1 day? That’s a total of $40, so it’s not that bad. The only thing is that you have to wait for 14 days before you can withdraw that money to your Paypal account. It’s like you will get your salary bi-weekly.
I’ve been doing some logos on Fiverrr for almost 6 months now and so far I earned almost $1000. Like I said it’s not too much but you can always add some extra features in your gig so you can earn more than $5.
For example, I offer logo design. If my client want’s more than a Jpeg or Png file, I put an add-on for those who want to get the AI or the PSD files for $10.
2. Dropshipping
I learned about this from a good friend of mine. What’s dropshipping? You might ask. Floship defines it as:
Drop shipping is a retail method in which you don’t keep products in stock. Instead, you partner with a wholesale supplier that stocks its own inventory – you transfer customer orders and shipment details to them, and they ship the goods directly to the customer.
Sounds easy-peasy? It is easy especially if you have a list of suppliers or manufacturers who are willing to fulfill your orders. The hardest part of doing it is by choosing what niche to market and how to drive traffic to your website. Most independent-location entrepreneurs I follow online are doing this.
But they don’t really share their secret unless you enroll in their online classes around $500-$2000. I know this because my friend and I signed up at Anton’s Method. I read it from Johhny’s blog. Johnny is doing a great job at drop shipping, he’s earning around $8K a month and he’s living in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
I don’t know him personally but I know him because I read his blog and listens to his podcast sometimes. Â He’s a smart guy because he’s making thousands of dollars and he’s spending it on Baht. Instead of living in a nice in California, he chose to live a simple life in Thailand.
3. Be a Youtube partner
You can upload anything you want just as long people would want to click it, watch it and rate it. I know people who make hair-tutorial videos, prank videos, computer game videos, music videos, etc. Most of them are in their early 20’s and they are making a lot of money!
My brother always watches Pewdiepie. He’s a video blogger who records himself playing video games while he says hilarious comments. He has the most subscribed channel on YouTube and he recently surpassed Rihanna’s Channel.
Damn, he’s so famous now! He has the most fun and easiest job on the planet, how cool is that? I know it’s not easy to get a million views but I’m sure it’s doable. Maybe upload any “how to” videos you’re familiar with.
It could be anything from horticulture to fixing computer issues, anything! You can also use different languages if you’re linguist, I’m sure you will attract some audience. 🙂
4. Invest your money in the stock market
If you have extra money saved up (USD 2-3K) I strongly suggest that you put it in stocks and equity rather than letting it sleep in the bank with a very low-interest rate. If you put it in stocks, you could accumulate up to 10% interest rate without doing anything.
That’s what Robert Kiyosaki said, “Let your money work for you”. Of course, there is no guaranteed that you will get the projected rate but based on the timeline of inflation and purchasing power of money, our economy is doing pretty good. If you want to learn more about this, feel free to email me or leave a comment down below and I will do my best to answer your inquiry.
5. Create multiple passive incomes
If you have a house, I suggest that you rent out spare rooms. I think this is the easiest way to make money for your travel fund. I live in a duplex home, we have the 2nd floor rented out since 2003.
If I’m going to calculate all the rental income for 12 years, we already generated a whopping 1.5M pesos. Not bad for passive income right? If you have a big room, get a roommate.
Consider signing up with Airbnb and generate passive income. I have a single guy friend who has a 4 bedroom home in Manila, he has the room rented out and he uses his rental income to travel the world and do the things he wanna do coz he has plenty of time. Smart idea right?
Anyhoo, let me end this article with my favorite animated video from FightMediocrity. I subscribed to his channel and watch every video he makes coz I get motivated with the book reviews. Good luck guys! It’s a BIG WORLD out there, GO EXPLORE! 🙂
